Summary

Clue Spark does not collect or sell personally identifiable information (PII). The game stores only what is necessary to make gameplay work and keep rooms in sync.

What We Store

Game data: room codes, player display names, game settings, turn logs and board state. This is required for multiplayer and is deleted when rooms are removed.
Local preferences (on your device only): things like "hide instructions" or UI settings. These never leave your device.
Anonymous auth (optional): we may use Firebase anonymous authentication to keep your session connected. No email or profile details are required.

Data Use

Provide core features (multiplayer sync, scores, turn order).
Maintain session integrity and prevent abuse.
Diagnose issues and improve stability (basic error logs only).

Data Sharing

We do not sell data. Game actions (e.g., guesses, clues, names you enter) are visible to other players in your room. We use Google Firebase to host and sync game data in real-time.

Data Retention & Deletion

Room data persists while the room exists and may be deleted by the host or after inactivity.
Local preferences remain on your device until you clear app/browser storage.
To request deletion of room or account-linked data, contact cluesparkgames@gmail.com.

Security

Transport encryption (HTTPS) and access control via Firebase security rules.
Least data necessary: no collection of address book, contacts, photos, or precise location.

Children

Clue Spark is for ages 13+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Third‑Party SDKs & Transfers

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore). Data may be processed in the United States or other regions where Firebase operates. See Google’s privacy policy for details.

Your Choices

Leave or delete rooms to remove associated game data.
Clear local storage to remove on‑device preferences.
